3.27.2011 Cookin' a Chicken!

Today I cooked a chicken. It was quite an experience. Kind of a gross experience... the chicken ended up tasting okay but Dennis still ended up getting us sandwiches from Jersey Mikes!

3.26.2011 Good Country Cookin'

Tonight we had Cracker Barrel for dinner. It was so good. I had ham and biscuits! For dinner!

Mrs. Tammy was closed today so my mom came to keep the kids. She told me that since she was there already why don't Dennis and I take a date night! I said ok! We ended up eating at Panda Express (never again) due to time.. we went to see Hall Pass!

3.24.2011 A Sign....

Today was a busy, hectic day. I ran a teller window for the first time in five years as well as trying to get things done on the desk side. I then had to make an unexpected trip to Target in the middle of the day. As I was rushing through the store, I passed this sign. I felt like it was speaking just to me!

3.23.2011 Shoe Shopping at 9pm!

For the past two days, Scotty has been saying his feet hurt. We figured that maybe his feet had grown (again!). So, after dinner and a bath, my dear sweet husband drove up to the Avenue at Murfreesboro to get our little sweetie some new shoes!

3.22.2011 Green is Good!

Day two of training at our new Pinnacle at Symphony Place building downtown. Today we ate lunch on the 7th floor patio. The day was perfect (although a bit windy). The building is "green" and I loved all the grass and flowers!

3.21.2011 Beautiful Sky!

I went to training in downtown Nashville today. When I got home, I pushed Scotty P on the swing. This was the beautiful sky above us!

I love this time of year when everything is blooming! I love the colors of spring!

3.17.2011 Photography Day!!!

Today was not only St. Patrick's Day, but also photography day with my dad! What a beautiful day. We took the kids to daycare and started taking photos around the Sam Davis home in Smyrna. We then went through Nolensville, and finally ended up at Leiper's Fork for lunch. We took a small portion of the Natchez Trace before deciding to go to Radnor Lake. We walked around the whole lake and took a lot of pictures of turtles and other wildlife! What a great day!

3.16.2011 Gettin' Ready...

Tomorrow is "Photography Day" with my dad. I am pretty excited. I have been getting things ready for tomorrow, including my Canon camera!

3.15.2011 All American

I tried to get a picture of him actually WEARING the shoes. However, Scotty P just doesn't stand still. These came in the mail for him today. Aren't they adorable!

3.14.2011 Every Good & Perfect Gift....

.... does indeed come from Above. However, this product told a falsehood when it said "Easy to Apply"... let's just say putting this on Miss Katie's wall was a challenge, at best.

3.13.2011 In Bloom...

The blooms on our Bradford Pear are BEAUTIFUL. However, all the blooms are wreaking havoc on my allergies!

3.12.2011 My Pride and Joy...

Today was "Pile in the Bed" day for the kiddos. We slept in just a little bit then Scotty and Katie got in the bed.

3.7.2011 Strength to Love

Today I finished reading "Strength to Love" by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The book is a collection of his sermons. I would certainly recommend it to anyone... he was such a brilliant man!

3.6.2011 Family Day!

Today was cold as we traveled to Huntingdon for Aunt Judy's birthday. We had a great time. I always love visiting with family. These flowers were a little pick-me-up for a dreary day. On the way back home we stopped and had dinner with my mom and GR. What a great ending to the weekend.

Scotty is so good with his sister. They love each other so much. Today he shared his choo-choo with Miss Katie. What a good boy!

3.3.2011 A Special Day at the Office...

Today we had an office meeting early in the morning. We also had a potlock today. I brought taco soup and we had all kinds of great things to eat. I was surprised every hour of the day when my sweet co-workers showered me with gifts for Miss Katie. How sweet and thoughtful and how blessed I am to have such great friends!

2.28.2011 Love My Girls (and B too)!

Tonight Katie and I met the girls (and Brennan) for dinner at Mi Tierra! Yum! Great Mexican food and great friends equal a great time!

2.27.2011 I'd Love To Live Here!

Today we went for a nice family drive. We always like to go look at houses. This is one of our favorite neighborhoods.

2.26.2011 A Proud Moment....

Today we were eating at Mimi's Cafe in Murfreesboro when Scotty looked up and said, "Daddy, see that airplane?" Dennis looked up and was amazed to see a Harrier flying overhead. He told Scotty that was the kind of airplane Daddy used to work on! We finished our day in Murfreesboro and headed back home. We decided to drive by the Smyrna airport since it looked like that is where the Harrier was headed. Lo and behold it was there! Dennis was doubtful they would let us near it. However, I decided to ask. There was no harm in that. The guys actually told us we could go see it if they were right there with us and we didn't let Scotty climb up on it. We said ok! Dennis was so happy just to smell the smell of the engines and share "his" plane with Scotty!

2.24.2011 A Night Out With the Ladies!

Tonight I met my friends at Buffalo Wild Wings. We all used to work together at Fifth Third Bank and we try to get together about once every month or so. I love you Amanda, Baby Abi, Vickie, Joni, Mitra, and Alena! Baby Katie was here with us too but was on the other side of the table asleep in her car seat.

2.23.2011 Goin' Downtown

Today I went to the new Pinnacle building downtown for the first time. I had training that started at 8:30 and was NOT excited about the traffic on the drive in. But, the building is absolutely gorgeous and I was able to see a couple of my friends that work downtown.

2.22.2011 Five Generations....

Tonight the kids and I went to Grannie's house in Portland (Den had to work late). I was able to take a photo of Grannie, my Dad, my brother Bill, his son Michael, and his daughter Brenna (who is an absolute doll).

2.21.2011 A Special Day....

Today my sweet husband and I had a date day! The kids went to Mrs. Tammy's house while Dennis and I did a little shopping in the morning. For lunch we went to Longhorn Steakhouse. After that, we went to see the movie "Just Go With It". On the way back to get the kids we stopped at Once Upon a Child and bought the kids some clothes. What a great day!
