02.14.2011 Love on a Platter...

Happy Valentine's Day!  Tonight I made a lasagna dinner and we had chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert.  Dennis also brought me a lovely strawberry cake.  Dad came over to help us enjoy our special night.  What a great Valentine's Day!

02.13.2011 Just a Swingin'

Today was the first really nice day we had in a long time.  We decided to take advantage of the pretty weather and go to a local playground.  Daddy and Scotty played on the swings and the slide while Katie and I watched them having so much fun!  How blessed we are!

02.12.2011 What a Beautiful Sky...

After being in the house much of the morning, we decided to have dinner out this evening.  We always like Newk's because it is very kid friendly (and good too).  The sunset this evening was BEAUTIFUL.  This was taken from the inside of the car on the way to Newk's.

02.11.2011 The Touch, The Feel...

Every morning on the way to Mrs. Tammy's house we pass this field of cotton.  We tell Scotty that cotton is what clothes are made of.  We also tell him that years ago people used to pick cotton and it was very hard on them and that now we use machines to pick the cotton.  He always talks about "cot-ton" and the "tractor" that is used to pick the cotton...

2.10.2011 A Winter Wonderland

The drive into work wasn't as bad as I had thought it was going to be!  This is the street coming out of our neighborhood.  This street was solid ice but the main roads were cleared pretty good.  The sun came out today and dried up most of the wet roads.  Work still closed two hours early (and I didn't mind too much)!

2.9.2011 How Low Can You Go?

Today was just downright cold.  This temperature was at about 4 in the afternoon with the temp dropping quickly.  The snow had just started and began to cover everything (including the roads) very quickly.  We picked up the kiddos and headed home to stay cozy and warm all night long!

2.8.2011 A Great Place to Work!

Today was my first day back to work since I began bed rest in June 2010.  It felt so good to be back and I am thankful for my job that I love.  Pinnacle is the best place I have ever worked and I love each of my coworkers as well!  I am truly blessed!

2.7.2011 A Sad, Snowy Day...

Today we drove to Huntingdon for the funeral of Dennis' grandfather.  It was a sad day to say goodbye to such a good man.  We ran into quite a bit of snow on the way there.  Once in Huntingdon, we had about 4 inches of snow.

2.6.2011 What Would YOU Do for a Krystal?

This post has two photos!  Dennis, Scotty and I were on the way to Kingston Springs when we saw a train coming down the tracks.  We pulled over to wait for it to come by.  After several minutes we decided to drive toward the train a little bit.  How funny to find that it had stopped right behind the local Krystal!  And extra funny to find the conductor exiting the train, climbing over the retaining wall and entering the Krystal for lunch!

2.5.2011 A Bushel and a Peck....

My sweet Dennis got me these beautiful flowers on the day of my surgery to brighten up my day!  Look how pretty!  Thanks sweetie!

2.4.2011 Surgery for Me....

Today I had a procedure done at the local Women's Hospital.  It was nothing too serious, just an outpatient procedure.  This sculpture was in the lobby and I thought it was so touching!

2.3.2011 Would You Like to Ride in My Beautiful Balloon....

Going to my Grannie's house always inspires me to start quilting again.  Today I went to Hancock Fabrics in Murfreesboro and found this awesome material for Mr. Scotty P!  I love it and can't wait to turn it into a quilt!  What do you think?

2.2.2011 A Silver Lining....

Today was a bad day for me.  I cried most of the morning.  Miss Katie was so fussy today.  I needed my mama and of course she was there for me (what an angel).  She came over and brought lunch and let me get out of the house by myself for a little while.  Here is where I ventured!  I was in heaven... thank goodness for mothers!

2.1.2011 A Day for Doctors

Today was cold and rainy.  I had two doctors appointments and mom came with me and Miss Katie.  All went well and I was very thankful for valet parking!

1.31.2011 Four Generations

Today Miss Katie and I went to visit my Grannie in Portland.  My dad met us there and we enjoyed some fellowship and a yummy lunch. Grannie and Dad both loved holding Katie and it was wonderful to have four generations under the same roof!

1.30.2011 Big Green Tractor

Scott loves his tractor.  We got it for him the day we picked him up from the flood aftermath in Kingston Springs.  He used to call it his tor-tor but he is able to say it more clearly now.  The seat came off a while back and Dennis was finally able to glue it back on...now it is just like new!

1.29.2011 Hello World!

What a beautiful Saturday it was!  Dennis changed the oil in the car and Mr. Scotty was having so much fun playing in the car... he loves the sunroof!

1.28.2011 It Ain't Easy Bein' Green

Today included more shopping for Miss Katie (girls are so much FUN to shop for) and of course who could resist a stop at Julia's Homestyle Bakery!  I got a strawberry cake square for Dennis and I to share and got this cute frog cookie for Scotty!

1.27.2011 Shopping for Katie

Today I went to Once Upon a Child in Murfreesboro.  If you have children, you should check it out.... I bought a lot of cute outfits for Miss Katie and many of the items were only $1.50!  Now that is how I like to shop!
